City of Poets unifies poets who have a connection with Glasgow, and provides a chance for everyone to celebrate the poetic voice, whether as a writer, reader, or consumer of poetry.

Our wider goals are establishing a network of native Poet Laureates across the city's wards, developing links with poetry and commerce, and, through workshops and tutorials, encouraging us all to voice our inner poet, (even when we may not know it…)

"Lots of initiatives are needed in our cities, and many are as good, but few could be better, provide more access to individuals' capacity to engage with each other, the natural world, with themselves, than that of being part of a City of Poets."
