Alexander Babatunde Olomo

About

Alexander Babatunde Olomo is a poet, translator and essayist. In 2024, his debut poetry collection, 'Nature is in Everything', was published, and in 2026, Oyo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, in Nigeria, approved the book for use in the school curriculum. Alexander's poems have been published in The Trojan Bloom (University of Southern California's Multilingual Journal) and in the anthology 'Moonlight Songs for Pa Nelson Mandela', which was published by the Society of Young Nigerian Writers. He has also had his essays published by The Nigerian Tribune.

Connection to Glasgow

Alexander first came to Glasgow in 2023, when he visited his brother here. During that visit, he worked on the manuscript of his debut collection of poems, 'Nature Is in Everything', in Caledonian University library. He still has friends in Glasgow.
