About

Graham Sands says, "I’m just a guy who has been working around pubs in Glasgow for the past 10 years. Having worked with the public and seeing people at their best and worst all my life I’ve met some characters in my life that I’ve drawn inspiration from. After quitting my job at the end of 2024 and going solo travelling, I started writing daft wee poems here and there for a laugh. When I came back from my travels I began reading some of them at Mchuills Flourish open mic night and have since performed at a few other open mic nights. Most of my poems centre around themes of Glasgow and observations of the city and its people, as well as little sprinkles about me and my travels (I’m not that interesting so there’s no as much about that)."

Connection to Glasgow

Graham Sands says his connection to Glasgow is "a love/hate relationship after living and working here all my life."
