About
Lilian has taught English in several city schools as well as having been a Special Needs Teacher for many years. She currently works as a Bereavement Counsellor with Cruse Bereavement Scotland. She says of herself, "I have been writing poetry for over 35 years, mainly when feeling inspired to do so!"
Connection to Glasgow
Lilian has lived in Glasgow for 70 years, and for over 20 years in the Gorbals, a very historic area of the city, close to Glasgow Green. Her parents lived on either side of the Green from birth, her father in Polmadie and her mother in the Gallowgate.
