Enter SCOTT KAMES A Scottish man, late twenties, long dark hair and a soft beard. Respectable but there’s something roguish about him. Despite his age, he’s spent two decades playing, writing and painting. Now he makes a career out of it. As a board member of SP SQUARE CIC, Scott champions Glasgow’s poetry and creative communities. Through Stravaig Creative Arts he has staged performances that bring local voices , myth and histories to life. With SCA, Kames has also nurtured drama projects that give young people and community groups the tools to explore storytelling in dynamic and imaginative ways. Kames has travelled across the country working as a writer, facilitator, theatremaker, filmmaker, and troublemaker, only to come back to Glasgow and be told he is, in fact, a poet too. As Kames turns to leave, the hat stand officially collapses. Blackout. End of Act One.
