Martin Rowe

About

Martin, 29, originally from Dumbarton, is an up and coming poet in Glasgow. Martin has been a Glasgow resident for over ten years, and he feels a real kinship with the community which is reflected in his poetry. Martin performs at local open mic and poetry events sharing his words that are influenced by the culture of this city. From married life to the Wetherspoons toilet, Martin's poetry invokes a touch of class and a barrel of laughs. Martin hopes to embark further into the poetry scene by performing in slams and perhaps hosting his own open mic event in the future.

Connection to Glasgow

Martin Rowe says, "I am Scottish born and bred and I have lived in Glasgow city for 10 years but I've been coming to Glasgow all my life. I've worked in Glasgow and I am part of many different communities."
