Richard Lee

About

Richard Lee provided the following bio: "Richard Lee is a Glasgow-based podcaster, audio producer, and writer - and the creative force behind Glasgow Sessions, an independent podcast dedicated to capturing the stories, sounds, and voices that make Glasgow one of the most vibrant cultural cities in the world. Through Glasgow Sessions, Richard ventures into the heart of the city's arts community - from grassroots writing groups and poetry nights to experimental music stages and live club recordings - bringing audiences intimate, unfiltered conversations with the musicians, poets, and creatives shaping Glasgow's cultural landscape. What sets the show apart is Richard's deep belief that the most important stories are often the ones that don't get told - and his commitment to giving them a platform. Away from the microphone, Richard is a writer with a genuine love for the craft in all its forms. He enjoys experimenting with poetic forms - from ancient structures like kennings and ballad stanzas to contemporary and broken verse - always pushing at the edges of what a poem can do. He's equally at home writing rap songs, drawn to the rhythmic energy and raw honesty of hip-hop as a literary form. Richard is currently completing an MLitt in Creative Writing at the University of Glasgow, where his academic work sits alongside his creative practice - feeding directly into everything he makes. Glasgow Sessions is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon Music."
