Meron McCardle

About

Meron is a non-binary poet from New Zealand, who is now living in Glasgow. They are an active member of the Glasgow spoken word poetry scene and they have work published in Dreich magazine. Meron sees poetry as a powerful tool for connecting with people and mobilising them to act in the challenging times we live in. It has also been particularly important for Meron in exploring and accepting their queerness and neurodiversity. After years of working as a writer and content strategist, Meron is "surprised it took me this long to take my poetry seriously but now I couldn't imagine it any other way. I've found my home."

Connection to Glasgow

Meron McCardle moved to Glasgow from New Zealand. With ancestral connections to Scotland and Glasgow, Meron is here "to explore what that means to me."
